This Internship position is for digital media Equipment Company, addressing the worldwide needs of the satellite, cable, terrestrial and consumer electronics markets.

Job description:

Learn and assist in the design, development, and maintain subsystems, user interface and drivers for embedded, set-top box (STB) receivers for cable and satellite TV

In addition, duties include:

-           work within a development team using change control and source code management systems

-           work with test engineering and test validation groups to create test plans and procedures

-           ability to document task specifications, design concepts, and implementation/test details

-           maintain and resolve issues on existing set top box platforms as required

Skills required:

Minimum qualifications to be considered are:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education and fluent English

In addition, we will give preference to candidates with the following:

-           experience working in a embedded development environment

-           experience in development of real-time software with the C language or equivalent

-           embedded device driver and multi-threaded programming experience

-           embedded development experience on Linux and/or Windows 95/NT platform

Paid Internship:  $9 per hour + housing

Training Length:  18 months
